Welcome to Scraggy Neck! Our beautiful little slice of heaven is tucked away in Cataumet, Massachusetts. It's quiet. It's peaceful. It's the way the Cape used to be. Scraggy Neck is located just minutes over the Bourne Bridge in Cataumet, Massachusetts, between the villages of Pocasset and Megansett, surrounded by Buzzard's Bay.
Our association boasts three private beaches, clay and hard tennis courts, a playground, an anchorage, and unlimited stunning views of the sea. Our lovely community holds holiday parades, family potluck dinners, and gatherings at the beach. There's no better place on the Cape!
The first home was built on Scraggy Neck in 1894. The Scraggy Neck Recreation Association is a non-profit corporation organized on September 17, 1927. The first documented Board of Governors was established in 1950. Many SNRA members enjoy homes built by parents and grandparents dating back to the late 1920s and early 1930s.
During the summer months, Scraggy's private roads (including the causeway parking area) and beaches are monitored by guards. Only residents and their guests are permitted on the Neck. Please drive slowly and carefully, as our roads are our sidewalks, complete with walkers, cyclists, strollers and dogs.
