Welcome to Scraggy Neck! Our beautiful little slice of heaven is tucked away in Cataumet, Massachusetts. It's quiet. It's peaceful. It's the way the Cape used to be. Our association boasts three private beaches, clay and hard tennis courts, a playground, an anchorage, and unlimited stunning views of the sea. Our lovely community holds holiday parades, family potluck dinners, and gatherings at the beach. There's no better place on the Cape!
The first home was built on Scraggy Neck in 1894. The Scraggy Neck Recreation Association is a non-profit corporation organized on September 17, 1927. The first documented Board of Governors was established in 1950. Many SNRA members enjoy homes built by parents and grandparents dating back to the late 1920s and early 1930s.
During the summer months, Scraggy's private roads and beaches are monitored by guards, and only residents and their guests are permitted on the Neck. Please drive slowly and carefully, as there are many children, walkers, and bikers on the roads. The guards also check cars parked on the causeway for current SNRA stickers or guest passes.
